There are certain properties that represent a sure bet in the complex landscape of Burgundy.
Maison Etienne Sauzet is one of these, preceded by its reputation and who year after year enchants us with its consistency, delivering the bliss of fine and vibrant wines.Gérard Boudot, the domain’s manager, has the daunting task of leading his team to the most exigent standards of Puligny-Montrachet. Since 2000, he is aided by his daughter Emilie and his son in-law Benoît. The management of the vineyards and the elaboration of their wines are carried out in the principles of Biodynamic winemaking, giving their creations added soul and grace. The Puligny-Montrachet village is round and fine and will literally make your mouth water even before discovering the meatier 1er Crus (such as the 1er Cru Les Combettes or Les Folatières) and the incomparable Grands Crus (Chevalier and Bâtard-Montrachet at the forefront) which, to our great disappointment, are only produced in very small quantities. Here, experience speaks and we listen.
